Michael Hastings dead ...

I have read quite a few articles by this young man over the years. I had no idea he was only 33, he wrote like a seasoned journalist. His car was a fiery wreck and the body could not be identified except through dental records - yet apparently it occurred on a road famous for it's heavy traffic (which would presumably slow him down a bit). Does anyone honestly believe it was an accident? If not, I wonder if it was related to things he has written in the past or things he was planning to reveal in the future. RIP poor chap...

As he was investigating the Beghazi embassy attack and murder of the US Ambassador and since this is one of the mega-scandals currently surrounding Obama, this accident (or "accident") could put the cat among the presidential pigeons.

It doesn't look like there was much traffic so I guess the speeds are possible but it was a brand new Mercedes and the engine ended up 200m away with barely a scratch? How did it blow up without the engine?
