Domestic violence - public inquiry

In light of many killings of women and families by the men in their lives, Refuge is calling for a public inquiry into the police's treatment of domestic violence cases.

I've signed the petition...I think the time is ripe to push for better protection for women and children, or indeed anyone subject to domestic violence and abuse.

This is really important and all the cuts have made it much harder for victims to find help and make themselves (and children) safe. That makes it even more important that official agencies respond strongly and properly when they become involved.

The figure of 2 women a week - a week! - being killed by their abuser has to be brought down.
