Ray manzarek RIP

Anybody else really sad at his passing? He was so talented...his sound defined the doors, but he was often overlooked.

The last time I saw him in a documentary a couple of years ago, he just looked like a healthy wealthy Californian hippy, in fact I was amazed at how good he looked.

Been torturing my kids with the doors all morning..

i feel sad. the doors were the shaping of my teens etc. without going into detail as it sounds ridiculous but it was a really important part of my growing up (the music & scene). i have spent ages today reading things about the band/watching youtube interviews etc, taken me way back. what a cool creative man ray was. i used to REALLY piss my mother off by playing (when i lived at home) american prayer really loud. fucking AWSOME album, fab' lyrics although i couldn't play it at home with dd around
