F1 in Bahrain

So pro democracy groups are planting bombs and planning to disrupt the F1.

B Ecclestone has stepped in as peacemaker telling this group (who have had the police fire attack them with teargas and stun grenades) saying that the F1 is only there for their social and economic benefit ...

Apparently the protestors are just jumping on the F1 bandwagon and using the F1 to further their goals

Call me mad, but wasn't the whole point of the whole sport embargo against SA was ro remove sporting events to bring about a change in regime?

I have to say I'm suprised it is going ahead this year. After all the unrest over the past few years and the incident last year, (I seem to recall one of the teams, I think Force India) were involved in some sort of incident) I doubt many people would want to travel to that GP. I certainly wouldn't. I went a few years ago and would not go again.
