Well, let's hope that the antagonism between him and Blair doesn't mean that his support for the petition is the kiss of death for it.

D'you know what's just irritated me about that article? The fact that it's in the women's section.

As if this isn't a universal issue of public health, as well as mothers' rights to go shopping if they need to and still be able to feed their children.

JoolsToo · 14/05/2006 11:25

to quote another mumsnetter

"he's after the mum's vote so transparantly" Wink

Caligula · 14/05/2006 11:33

Ha ha ha Jools, aren't they all.

Funny they don't realise how much disagreement there is between mothers - they're in danger of thinking we're one big homogenous group of voters they can just tap into. They ought to come on here, that'd learn 'em.

do we pay VAT on nursing bras and pads??

Bronze · 14/05/2006 15:45

Do you know what I dont care if hes doing it for votes if it gets the laws changed to similar to those in Scotland. Doesnt mean I'm any more likely to change my vote just less likely to be arrested.

GDG · 14/05/2006 16:36

You mean like we pay VAT on sanitary products too?

GDG · 14/05/2006 16:36

Oh sorry, I thought you said 'why do we...'.

Based on the fact that we do on towels and tampons etc, I bet we do.
