The guy is a serious idiot. I remember when he laid into the Tories for allowing Barclays to get away with not paying corporation tax.....on profits earned during the Labour reign! Another MP who either doesn't understand taxation or doesn't care about the truth.

Truly hope he isn't a 'potential future leader' as suggested by the Telegraph. At least we now know what he really thinks.

I'm not a member of the global elite but, to be fair, west end nightclubs are often full of trash (that's what he intimated, for anyone who hasn't clicked on the non-story. More fool me- I did).

This is such a non-story. I'd love it to be one, but it's really not. I'm sure most members of MN would be avoiding exactly the same establishments he's dissing.

It was a silly thing for him to have said. It's made a funny story. I suppose he should be flattered that like Bullingdon Club references, his enemies think he's enough of a threat to bring this up.
