Headlines for 5th April 2002 - how do I find them out?

I am trying to do a scrapbook layout for teh day DD was born: Friday 5th April 2002. I want some information about what was happening that day - news headlines, No 1 song, film, Tv, etc. I am really struggling to find the news article stuff though.

Can anyone help at all?

Have you tried contacting the papers directly? They often provide back issues for a charge. Some larger libraries also have newspaper catalogues.

Might try library first then. Actually, just remembered school I worked at used to have them on CD so library might too. Thanks for reminding me!

I think Hula (if I remember correctly - as I was in labour too!) it was the day they buried the queen Mother, I seem to remember this dominating the news.

I remember watching it too - it was the day they moved her body to wherever it was the funeral was to set off from. I remember it being on Tv in the labour room!

Just wondered if there had been any other news that day!
