Thank goodness for the family.

Yet little is done against animal extremists since the labour party doesn't really see them as bad people, just a bit over enthusiastic.

collision · 04/05/2006 23:44

I found this repulsive when I heard what the animal rights people had done!

Why would anyone do anything so sick?

JoolsToo · 04/05/2006 23:46

Some people in the construction company I worked for went through a horrendous time with Animal Liberationists.

Because the company was part of the Group where another company was involved inthe Oxford lab.

Cars damaged, graffiti daubed on house fronts, threatening telephone calls in the dead of night etc - vile, vile people

Oh I'm glad. This was so sickening.

DominiConnor · 05/05/2006 10:26

As Jools says, they are vile people, but they do it with considerable inpunity. When they attacked theoutfit building a Cambridge brain research lab so viciously that they decided not to build it, both the local police and the minister who I harassed over the matter referred to that as a "commercial decision".

There is plenty of law to deal with this, but the police have clearly been given a political steer not to give it a priority.
