Shock oo nasty injuries could be caused by a flying Wosit at speed. Could have hit a passing cyclist in the eye! Wink

Dior · 03/05/2006 18:43

Seems a bit harsh. A bird would have gobbled it up. It's not as if it was something that wouldn't degrade...

On the other hand, she did throw it out of the car window. £75 really well spent then...Wink

Twiglett · 03/05/2006 18:43

is this proof that they aren't actually bio-degradable? Shock

Greensleeves · 03/05/2006 18:44

Oh God, I really want a packet of Wotsits now

Blu · 03/05/2006 18:45

Grin Twiglett.
But you ou should be showing more solidarity Shock

Who lets their kids eat cheesy wotsits, anyway?
I reckon it's the Nutrition Police Wot Dunnit.

OP posts:
Dior · 03/05/2006 18:47

I would let ds occasionally, but he won't touch them!

Blu · 03/05/2006 18:48

Twiglett - whether it is fair to judge mothers who let toddlers eat Wotsits in buggies at 9am, or whether we should imagine that it is a one-off / toddler has already had bow of quinoa porridge /no business to judge anyway etc etc.

But sometime last year Wotsits became Greggs sausage rolls.

OP posts:
Twiglett · 03/05/2006 18:49

but what did gregg's sausage rolls become? Grin

Whizzz · 03/05/2006 18:50

Nasty things Wotsits - Look what they did to Dale Winton & David Dickinson

iota · 03/05/2006 18:50

it could ahve been worse...it could have been a can of coke

niceglasses · 03/05/2006 18:52

oooo love cheesy wosits. Great for hangovers. How could she waste one? I fight my kids for them.

marthamoo · 03/05/2006 18:56

It could have been a lot worse - she could have chucked her child out of the window...

cod · 03/05/2006 19:22

i ws held at knofe ooint over a packet of wotsits
true story

Tutter · 03/05/2006 19:32

my HV suggested wotsits as an easy-to-eat-melts-in-the-mouth solution to gagging baby!!! and it worked. he has since been weaned off the wotsits bu still gets verrry excited when he hears the rustle of a crisp packet.

also reminds me of canny friends who - in order to keep kids well behaved in the car - leave with a bag full of sweets (no wrappers, note) and lob one out of the woindow whenever there is naughtiness. kids get whatever sweets are left at the end of the journey. Grin

FrannyandZooey · 03/05/2006 19:35

Jeez I am not sure which is more shocking, cod being held at knife point, or a hv recommending wotsits for a weaning baby Shock Shock :(

cod · 03/05/2006 19:39

i knwo! am victim of crime

Wallace · 03/05/2006 19:41

Love that idea tutter Grin

SenoraPostrophe · 03/05/2006 19:54

quite right I say

apparently she originally got the fine because the litter inspector (or whoever it was) thought it was a fag butt. But a cheesy wotsit is WORSE imo. it might poison the local wildlife and will make the street stink of cheese. pah.

homemama · 03/05/2006 20:29

When we've been walking in the woods I've quite often thrown an apple core on the ground. I always thought this was ok as it was biodegradable. Could I be fined for this? I would never drop it in the street only in wooded/grassy area. Nor would I ever drop other forms of litter such as crisp packets.

So after break time at school should we teachers now run around picking up the hundreds of dropped crisps? Or leave them for the eager pigeons as before?

SenoraPostrophe · 03/05/2006 20:33

apple core or normal crisps: fine

cheesy wotsits: noooo

but actually I think this whole new story is a plant by the cheesy wotsits pr dept.

edam · 03/05/2006 20:33

Maybe it will make all the other anti-social yobs who throw litter out of their car windows take notice.

(Actually I wish dh WOULD throw stuff out of the car window, it's like a travelling rubbish tip in there. As fast as I excavate it he breeds more stuff.)

WWWontSlagOffAnyone · 03/05/2006 20:42

God, I love Wotsits. I mainly eat organic homemade food. But I love wotsits.

veNivIDiViCkiqV · 03/05/2006 20:45

Illusions shattered.....cod....a victim?

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I think the fact that she lives in Luton says it all though Wink
