The news reports seem to be suggesting that the root of this attack is some kind of ballet-centred animosity which I find very hard to believe. Artistic types usually assassinate each other via the pen rather than the sword. I can't help thinking that this poor man has got on the wrong side of the people more normally responsible for grisly death in that part of the world ... the Russian Mafia.
