misdee, I was thinking about you when I saw this- the article says that cardiomyopathy can improve if the heart is given a rest-maybe Peter's heart will get stronger while he's on the VAD?

his heart is too damaged. there has been a small improvement with the LVAD, basically the increase in size that happened last summer during the final stages of heart failure has decreased. But he will still need a transplant.
