Sad

\link{http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/oxfordshire/4894898.stm\awful news story here}

I hope this educates a few people about the importance of strapping in children properly and not overloading a car. Only yesterday I had to put up with feeling like a neurotic lunatic because I wanted my children's car-seats to go into the car of the person who was driving them.

It's dreadful isn't it.
Her life is over.
I get laughed at in Turkey every day for insisting on seatbelts and asking dh's interpreter to help me find a car seat.

He was in Swansea uni, he was from Oxford originally. They stayed together even when he went home after his degree.

She calls him her soulmate, says she will never love anyone else. So so sad

I can't believe that woman was a nurse. She must in the course of her work have seen the results of people taking unnecessary risks like this.

It must have been very tough for her (and the other families) to have to go through this trial and sentencing so many months later.

She just texted me, on her way home

Said its a joke, she will only serve 1 year.

"The court was told that only one of the boys in the car had been wearing a seat belt and at least one, possibly two, had been in the boot of the Citroen Xsara, when Dublin lost control of the car."

It's shocking. I just can't believe that someone would cram children into a car like that in this day and age. Seven 13 yr old boys plus a driver in a Citroen Xsara?! Madness.
