Just read \link{http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4879380.stm\this}.

So did you put on weight when you got together with the man of your dreams? Also, for the men on this site, did your waist bands start to expand when you found Miss Right?

I put on about half a stone after I got married 4 years ago but my DH put on 2 stone in the first yearShock. We decided to take action and both joined a gym as well as ate more healthily and lost the weight. I then put on 4 stones when I was pregnant with twins 2 years ago but with a combination of Weightwatchers and exercise, I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight and I just want to lose another 10lb. DH now runs half marathons and last year I did 5k and 10k races. So for us, putting on weight actually encourgaed us to adopt a more active lifestyleSmile

I put on over half a stone when I moved in with (now)DH. However, at round about the same time, I started having Depo injections and the average weight gain on Depo apparently is 6lbs. So, I am unable to say for sure if it was a change in diet or not. I suppose though, that you could say that I wouldn't have had the Depo injection if I was still single so therefore it's DH's fault anyway WinkWink

I put on weight when we moved in together 12 years ago -it was most definately down to eating a "proper" meal every night (rather than making-do with toast/cereal some days) and then snacking whenever DP did.

Hes lucky though as he eats like a horse but stays the same size/weight -I don't!

Since I've been with dp (2 years) we've both put on weight - me a stone and him 2 stone Shock

i dont think its the men that make you put weight on,its the kids!
i was a size 8/10 then had ds,still 8/10 with dd,then along came my whopper!and i went from a size 8/10 to a size 16!just went down hill from there really!!5 kids in total and now am a size 18.oooooooh to be thin again!!(mind you i have got an underactive thyroid which yo-yos,so that doesnt help!)
but i do blame dh for me being bigger now than when i didnt have kids!
he was also really skinny, but then stopped smoking and piled on the weight.hes tall so it doesnt look that bad because hes also really muscley!

I put on loads of weight when I moved in with dh.
Mainly because we would eat a bigish meal together in the evenings whereas when I was single I wouldn't make such an effort.
Plus he introduced biscuits into my life.
