This article about operation Ore made me shudder. They didnt take into account stolen credit card details and then used images as evidence that were most likely unseen pop ups that automatically appear in your computer memory but you never see.

I know they caught a lot of offenders but what about the innocent ones.

Wonder why the Queen is attending a cabinet meeting tomorrow?

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-20757376

Very strange and I wonder who has paid for the gift, cant see Cameron dipping into his pocket, maybe they dipped into the tea fundGrin

Hopefully they will point out that she has some very dubious friends!

swallowedAfly · 17/12/2012 17:30

you don't get pop up images of child rape and other sexual abuse - it is something you'd have to actively go looking for very intently and pay for. all manner of gonzo porn can be accessed free and a few clicks away but child pornography is still quite different and discrete due to it's illegality.

www.standard.co.uk/panewsfeeds/105-victims-in-sex-abuse-probe-8422455.html

105 people have come forward
An independent investigation set up to examine allegations of historic child abuse in North Wales has received information from 105 victims in just one month.
Operation Pallial, led by Keith Bristow, director general of the National Crime Agency (NCA), is re-examining allegations of historic abuse and the original police investigations into the care homes abuse scandal.

swallowedAfly · 18/12/2012 14:32

awful. the girl placed in care due to sexual abuse who was then raped by a 15yo known sexual offender is shocking - utter neglect of duty of care to house young girls with sexual offenders.

No evidence of a cover up

Are these people taking the Piss? The BBC have known about child abuse for over 40 years and didnt report to the police when they decided to shelve a planned programme because it exposed the vile man and yet No cover up.

I need a sobbing smiley because this is just the start of another whitewashSad

As a kid I loved the off air characters he talked to-Uncle Ted and Graham Archive spring to mind. And I was fortunate to work with 'Uncle' Ted Beston when I joined Radio 1, he had the best music ears anywhere and it was Ted who put those shows together. Happy memories. RIP Jimmy Saville.

Exaro News say they've found diaries and receipts from Elm Guest House, a location in the 1980s so-called VIP paedophile ring. Exaro says they contain the names of two Conservative ex-cabinet ministers, four more Tories, two Labour and one Liberal. A banker, two Buck House officials and two pop stars among others.

Wonder when Exaro will break the names?
