Ages back someone posted about links to Peter stringfellow same age, same club background.

He knew remarkably similar people.

On his return to Sheffield, he worked briefly, at least one matinee show, as a curtain boy at the Lyceum Cinema. He finally settled as a van boy for Gillotts Bakery where he met his first wife, Norma Williams. After passing his driving test at 18 he had several jobs. He worked as a travelling photographer, worked in Sutherland?s potted meat factory, and at Nova Sewing Machines and Dobson?s Furnishings Company. At Dobson?s he was accused of selling stolen carpets and sentenced to two weeks in Armley Prison Leeds in June 1962 and 6 weeks in Ford Open Prison.[4][5]
He started clubs in n 1962, Stringfellow rented The Black Cat Club

He then went to Leeds 1970 for 6 years

recently my mum told me how she and her mates used to go out dancing in Leeds as teenagers in the early 1960s. First to Peter Stringfellow?s nightclub Cinderella?s, in the shiny new Merrion Centre, and later to the more male-dominated spin-off Rockafella?s which opened upstairs. Savile, who claimed to be the first person to play two records simultaneously back to back without a gap, was the city?s star DJ and on the cusp of nationwide fame. Mum vividly remembers sneaking in underage to one of his regular nights at an underground ?spit and sawdust? joint in what is now a branch of swanky clothes shop Reiss, in the refurbished Victoria Quarter.

So, from the age of 15 I was a regular at Stringfellows, Cafe De Paris and The Atlantic Bar and Grill. I attended many celebrities parties and private functions. One party was in a house in the New Forest and I must have been around sixteen at the time.

At 15 he was allowed is as was presumably Mandy smith

From Chris Spivey, on his Facebook page.

"Morning... Well, I guess that it had to happen sooner or later. Later is now and it looks like the site has been targeted by the Arse-holes who live in the house of cards.

Apparently, one of my articles was brought up on the House of Lords website on Friday and the site went down Friday night? Coincidence?

So, what naive idiot thought that they only silenced dissidents in countries like Russia & China?

Never the less, since the site went down my right hand man Carl the Tech Guy has been working flat out to try and get us up and running again. Unfortunately, we are still being targeted and as soon as Carl gets one thing sorted another thing goes tits up.

I know fuck all about Computers, I do the easy bit, AKA, the writing, but Carl and some other Tech Guys that he is in contact with, tell me that things are most ?weird? to say the least. Things like: ?We have exceeded our bandwidth?, yet we have unlimited bandwidth.

I also have access to the message?s that are sent between Carl and others, such as the following:

?Plus the Mysql phpmyadmin database back up was also corrupt.
Just waiting now for the DNS to propagate?.which is also strange since I am working onsite when it switched to a different IP ? same host? !

Which is double fucking Dutch to me, but at the same time, tells me that they are doing everything they can to get us back to normal.

Regrettably, we appear to have lost the last 3 weeks work, which has royally fucked me off. However, that is hopefully the total extent of the damage and touch wood I have now in fact been told that the site is back to its normal running.

To say that this weekend has been stressful is an understatement.

Before this hatchet job happened I was close to finishing an article on David Cameron. I?m still close to finishing it but I have much to do replacing the stuff that has been lost, In fact, I will be up now for the rest of the night just copy and pasting cached articles that have been lost from the site. That has got to be done tonight as I?m told that Google scraps them after a short while..

However, when the article on Cameron comes out in the next day or two, you will see exactly what kind of Monster we have guarding the interests of those he serves? And that isn?t us, I can promise you that."

Chris goes on to say more, but that you'll need to find yourself. He is either very brave or very foolhardy. Whichever, he's working damned hard to try to get to the bottom of this. And good luck to him.

Having trouble finding that - any chance of a PM please?

Feenie · 22/01/2013 21:48

s'ok, got it - shouldn't have tried to find through Facebook, Google was better.

NicholasTeakozy · 22/01/2013 22:08

Yes Feenie, that's probably better though I use Ixquick for privacy. It's available via ixquick which doesn't have as many relevant links as Google but has a more user friendly privacy policy.

Feenie · 22/01/2013 22:15

That's just taken me back to being in secondary school. I remember everyone being awestruck by a visit from the mounted police (or might have been army), swooning over both horse and rider. Lots of girls then wanted to do their work experience with them. I remember it being bandied around as common knowledge that any girls going there a virgin wouldn't come back as one. Sick. And goes very well with the slutty stable girl image doesn't it.

UNITED KINGDOM LIFTS TRAVEL BAN ON AMERICAN JOURNALIST

Follows Success of Online Petition and Motion from Member of Parliament

NEW YORK, Jan. 24, 2013/PRNewswire/ ? In the wake of the child-abuse scandal surrounding BBC presenter Jimmy Savile, the United Kingdom lifted its 500-day travel ban on American journalist Leah McGrath Goodman and restored her visa this past week, allowing her to complete an investigation into allegations of systemic child abuse in the UK and its territories.

As reported by The Guardian and the BBC, Goodman was banned after being detained and questioned by UK authorities in September 2011 about her research into allegations of horrific crimes against children at the orphanage Haut de la Garenne on the island of Jersey, a leading offshore tax shelter controlled by the British Crown.

Amid fresh allegations about Savile?s predatory activities on the island of Jersey, Member of Parliament for Birmingham Yardley John Hemming filed a parliamentary motion in September 2012 protesting Goodman?s ban. ?I am pleased that Leah now has her visa,? says Hemming. ?They should not have banned her in the first place. She wished to investigate the story relating to Jimmy Savile and Haut de la Garenne before it became public. Clearly, her ban was part of the cover-up which should be investigated itself.?

Trevor Pitman, a member of Jersey?s Parliament, initiated a petition in defense of Goodman in September on Change.org, signed by thousands. ?I'm pleased our campaign has been successful,? says Pitman. ?Leah's ban was politically motivated and symptomatic of a justice system that has been hijacked.?

Haut de la Garenne made international headlines in 2008, when Jersey police launched an investigation into nearly 200 complaints of alleged abuse, torture and murder at the children?s home. The investigation was abruptly halted in 2009 after the island?s Health Minister and Chief of Police were removed from their jobs under pressure to end the probe.

Leah McGrath Goodman, a member of The London Speaker Bureau and contributor to Fortune plans to write a book on her findings. Her first book, ?The Asylum: Inside the Rise and Ruin of the Global Oil Market,? will be released in paperback by HarperCollins this spring.

bunchamunchycrunchycarrots · 24/01/2013 12:04

I look forward to reading all about the outcome of her investigation. Fantastic result, and kudos to you Mr Hemming. Let's hope that Leah McGrath Goodman gets to the truth behind the abuse and the cover up that kept her out of the UK and Jersey.
