The election is next week. No time for the shine to wear off. Obama has been presidential and the Republican governor of New Jersey is his new best friend. Against that you have Romney asking people to bring tins of soup along to his campaign event and apparently he had been talking of abolishing the Federal emergency agency....... Obama is going to win this one.

Sick as it sounds - the democrats must be rubbing their hands at the good timing of hurricane Sandy. It's been very very good for Obama.

I think this is Obamas ticket to four more years. Thank god, because Romney scares the shit out of me!

It was looking like such a close fight. I'm glad Romney's anti-FEMA stuff is coming back to bite him.
I just hope people aren't sitting there still without power by election day and feeling a bit grumpier about him IYSWIM.

Apparently Mayor Bloomberg has backed Obama because of climate change.
It seems things were moving in Obama's favour, but could this turn things back in Romney's favour as climate change has not been an issue in the election yet? I don't know what percentage of the US population believe in climate change.

No, according to reports, more Americans believe in it than don't and nearly half of Republican voters now believe in it. So it probably won't change things in Romney's favour.

Oh, just read it more carefully, under 50% of the US population believe in man-made global warming and only a third of Republicans believe in it.
