Touching thread on another forum

Thought I would post this here because, although it is HUGE, this thread really brought a lump to my throat. If you have half an hour to spare it is worth clicking through and reading the posts by FruitLoops, SupportCrew and Sierra.

I think the most amazing thing - apart from the enormous generosity of spirit shown - is the way this has swept through the on-line community - mostly the gaming community, but not exclusively.

hoxton - there isn't an end yet - don't know where you got to, but the child is currently in isolation in hospital, and has had an operation to remove (the part of the tumour that is causing the seizures?)

Oh thank you, Oakmaiden. I was really scared that he had died. I think I got to around page 20; he'd been very sick but had recovered to critical. Will definitely try to access the site later to read the rest of it. Thanks for posting it.

The site is working again. I had to stop at around page 8 (ds2 calling) but what a touching story. Fruitloops is such a brave boy. When I read the bit about "It'okay now because I only have 6 months to live" I had to stop to get another tissue. Sierra sounds truly amazing. He's the kind of person who should be on the Honours List, instead of so-called celebrities. I think he would be too modest to accept anything though. To anyone who hasn't read it yet: ARM YOURSELF WITH A BOX OF TISSUES FIRST. Thankyou for that link.

As MN is a site for parents maybe we could leave messages of support for his mother too. She's a single parent and I think Fruitloops is her only child.

Update to the link, which has been altered. New link here. The first message (from the child's mother) is on that page - it is now necesary to register to read the whole thread, though. Latest news is that the boy has had a major operation, and they are hopeful that all will be well.

Fruitloops mother - incase you ever read this forum - I can't begin to imagine how you feel - don't want to begin to imagine how you feel - just want to say that I feel for you all, and that I hope so very much that all will be well.
