ok here is what it says -

Press release - Recall

IKEA recalls bed bases for TASSA and SNIGLAR cots size 55 cm x 112 cm bought August 2005 or later.

IKEA wants all customers who have bought a TASSA or SNIGLAR cot size 55 cm x 112 cm in August 2005 or later and marked on the bed base with “ID NO 15333” and “Made in Poland” to return the bed base to their local store where they will receive a new bed base. No other cots are affected.

Due to an error in the production some of the bed bases from one of our suppliers have not been glued correctly and as a consequence may not meet the requirements for impact testing contained in the European safety standard for cots, EN 716.

We have received no reports of any incidents involving the affected cots. At IKEA children’s safety is of greatest importance and as a minimum all our products shall fulfil applicable safety standards.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. For more information contact [email protected]
