IRAN earthquake - thousands of children orphaned

THis is so sad. Newspaper reports talk about how many children are just wandering around the streets crying for their parents and not knowing if they are alive or dead. Country is in a total mess because of quake with 40,000 dead, no hospitals or emergency services. Terrible pictures in yesterdays paper of parents carrying their dead children to the graveyards where they are being buried in mass graves - truly awful

It made me feel awful to think of how much we have all spent at christmas, in our comfortable homes with no worries while these people are in a living hell.

if you can give even £10 to the red cross appeal it might help a child.

Thanks for the link katierocket. We've all given £5 each of our Christmas money. Not much, I know, but for a 4 and 6 year old, it seems a lot.

This tread brought tears to my eyes. When you hear about how many are dead you dont think about it as actual people. It puts things into prespective, especially as I was gutted because I could only afford to buy my dh one playstation game for xmas. Now that seems stupid. Have donated x x
