Pediatrician "waterboards" daughter :(

I can't get this one out of my head. It's just so so so so wrong. It seems to be so much worse to me that it's someone in a position of trust. He is a big researcher into Near Death Experiences, which makes you wonder.

I didn't read it all, and don't plan to!

This made me shiver:
"Joe Hurley, a lawyer for Morse, said: "Whatever's being described is not waterboarding."
He said the use of the term was an "attention-getter" by authorities, that the 11-year-old girl had "opposition issues" and had made unrelated false allegations against another family member before."
He's not saying he didn't do it, just that she's a liar - and having 'opposition issues' she needs to be tortured into submission? Am I reading that right?
