Could your 13 year old do this?

Some of the challenges are a bit arbitrarily 13-based, but I like it as a concept.

my own ds1 turns 13 next month and i think yes he could do the stuff listed, infact its a great idea,i am going to show it to dp and we may do something similar with ds1 over the rest of the summer holidays :)

he actually already does/has done some of the things on the list, cooking, moving the grass, train journeys on his own etc.

they really are quite capable when we give them the chance :)

My elderest DD's could have and did do most of them by that age and younger.

My youngest DD at 13, could do the practical side but would be restricted because she has LD's and couldn't do the reading needed.

Most of the stuff on the list is a really good way of teaching children with SN, fuctional skills/maths.

One of my friends was sent on a "treasure hunt" round the London Underground at age 11, in preparation for taking the tube to secondary school.

I was really jealous at the time, it seemed like a brilliant adventure :)
