I can't imagine how any mother person could put a plastic bag over babies' heads.

Because mothers are all saints, right? There is no monopoly on criminality or cruelty, all kinds of people kill for all kinds of reasons and, unless we have the ability to get inside their minds, we will never be able to imagine or understand the thought processes that lead to anyone making that decision. It's shocking, tragic, and she's behind bars so let's all unfold our arms and stop tutting, perhaps?

Her whole story is unbelievable

Got what she deserved. Mothers kill just like fathers.

Becoming a mother doesn't automatically make you a saint, no.

But it (usually) makes you love like you have never loved before, and to hurt your own child goes against all mothers' instincts.

No-one here with folded arms tutting.

Quite regularly we get stories of whole families wiped out when one disturbed member takes it on themselves to decide everyone would be better off dead. Love can be as dangerous as hate.

Didn't she also try and kill herself too by jumping out of the window? Doesn't refer to it in this report. I'm not excusing the terrible crime, but this "wipe the whole family out" thing does happen from time to time unfortunately. Quite often it seems to be the father when the couple have split up :(

She clearly has mental health problems I suspect this may be caused by the fact that she had to deal with the fact that she had married an abuser who abused her child and she had brought that danger into her family. I guess her guilt led her to believe that she couldn't look after her children and perhaps this was tje only way she could protect them.

she killed them very carefully and deliberately. She said in her evidence that she asked her dd who was the older of the children whether she would prefer a few days of holiday bliss or a lifetime deprived of a mother. This clearly indicates she knew what she was going to do.

She also stood by and allowed her convicted paedophile husband rape her own child by her first husband over a number of years.

30 years - is that what her 2 young children and her raped daughter are worth? I wonder how these figures are settled. Why not just incarcerate her for the rest of her life?

Her sentence is in Spain I think, so will be rough!

She didn't seem to feel guilty about her eldest daughter being abused as she refused to believe her. The daughter has given an interview about it.
