I was in a taxi coming home from school with kids when i caught a snippet of it on the radio. not sure where they said it had been found or anything. was surprised there was nothing on the news about it at all. anyone else hear anything?

thankyou janh. i still find it very worrying that this so called "bird flu" has been found in mammals though. very worrying.

That BBC piece says:

If they have caught it that way, rather than catching it by droplet infection, that is mildly reassuring - I think!

I heard on the radio that there have not been mnay such cases in the Far East despite the fact that domestic mammals and birds live in close proximity.

One less cat? Sounds like a good thing to me.
