Scrapping rent subsidies for under 25's.

I only saw this today & wondered what your opinion is of it. I'm a bit worried now. 21 in August & it looks like I should just stick to living with my parents & my 5 year old DD....

Hey you can't click your link, but there is another thread about this on here I was reading this morning.

It's worrying ain't it, I'm 21 with a 2 year old DD and me and my partner get housing benefit because he has had no luck finding a job the past year.

To think that they could just stop that simply cause your young is scary especially if your trying to find work or can't work because of disability/being a lone parent.

Who got a subsidy? Was it just for council housing?

As it stands under 25s could get HB council or not if they earned under a certain amount. However the amount was only enough for shared accomodation.

There's no way of getting around money situations these days is there?
