I suspect once his crime is known in prison - and it will get known, it always does - he will get another form of punishment, in addition to the 9 years sentence. I can see him spending time in and out of the segregation units.

How utterly abhorrant. I cannot express how revolted I am. The poor girl, at least she can't have known much of what happened to her. And nine years? Is it really enough? What about a manslaughter charge too - I thought that if one omitted to help a person who's life was in danger one has liability for the loss of that life?

I wondered about that kittyfish. Not only did he rape her, but he failed to get her urgent medical attention when she needed it. Who knows whether she might have been alive today if he'd acted in the way a normal human being would act when confronted with a child with head injuries. I wonder if there were any charges for that?

Bad enough to rape a minor but not getting her the medical help she so desperately needed. FFS if anybody biological child or not comes home and has a bad fall (drunk/druged or not) and gets injured my first thought would be 'oh sh*t' and then I'd dial 999 pronto!

A small comfort that the girl probably didn't notice what was happening to her.

Dear God, I wonder if she had only blacked out and not been so seriously injured if the courts would have made a rape conviction?
