I doubt this is a moral victory, they're hardly going to keep him in contract while he's in jail.

It's who offers him a contract when he gets out that will be the interesting bit.

StarsAndBoulevards · 30/05/2012 15:21

He's only been released. :(

Should have fired him as soon as the conviction came through.

(Well, I'd personally say as soon as he was charged)

But nooooooo, that'd be a breach of his employment rights, or some shit like that.

StarsAndBoulevards · 30/05/2012 15:22

*released from the club, that is. Not prison...

It's not firing, it's just "not renewing his contract", so to speak

surroundedbyblondes · 30/05/2012 15:43

Finally!

Rubitue · 31/05/2012 17:44

Unfortunately I think it is a reflection on the club's current situation rather than a sign of their disgust/abhorrence of what he is - 10 non-rapists were also released!

MammaBrussels · 01/06/2012 10:38

It's only because his contract has expired they're not making any kind of stand against rape. Bastards.

doormat · 01/06/2012 10:39

can we all club in together and buy him..so we can castrate the bastard Grin

ledkr · 01/06/2012 10:40

Great though still, and at least his poor victim knows hes been massively inconvenienced, the twat.

chocoroo · 01/06/2012 10:43

He hasn't been sacked, his contract was due to expire.

I understand (from contacts at the Club) they were unable to sack him while legal proceedings were ongoing (I think he's lodged an appeal). I'm told any employment contract would be the same.
