Doha Nursery Fire

This is just horrific. It hasn't been featured in the news very much but those poor parents...my friend lives out there and has been posting updates on Facebook. Imagine losing three triplets? Or three children from any family, which it seems may also have been the case with the Spanish children?

So desperately sad.

Awful awful story , I saw this on the news this morning but surprised it hasnt been reported very widely. Feel desperately sad for all those poor parents. The photo of the 3 babies on the news this morning was heartbreaking.

DH just mentioned this to me, it had passed me by but after searching online the details sound harrowing....apparently for a while the firefighters didn't realise there was a nursery in the shopping mall.

There is not much info from UK media but a lot from NZ-based media, understandably.

All of those children dead, such a tragedy. And 3 of them being triplets makes it even more poignant...

Rest in peace little ones.

Saw this and its just unbearable. All those children.....

Have searched (and shouldn't have as its utterly heartbreaking) the NZ reports. I just cannot imagine what any of those parents are going through, but as a mother of twins myself, the triplets story is just....words fail me.

It has not been a good week to live in Doha. There is not a single person who has not been affected and we all feel helpless. There was a vigil last week which was very touching, and there is an open letter from the parents who lost their beautiful triplets in our press.

The details in the BBC news article above are not quite right though.
