Found it on BBC - wants to "open doors" for new Green leadership - i.e having got elected, she's stepping aside as leader for new blood to get known. Sounds like a good strategy.

Good move. Time for another green to build a profile before the next election. After all if you ask the average person to name someone in the Green Party they will all say Caroline Lucas won't they? No-one knows anyone else.

good, I wish they would all step down,
thanks to them our town is going to sink, no one will visit due to the hike in parking fee's and the way they hate motorists, yet we rely of tourists.
