stamina pills made from dead babies

I didn't think the world could get any crazier until I read this.

OP posts:
hiddenhome · 08/05/2012 22:51

In China some people eat aborted foetuses to give them strength apparently Sad

Ryoko · 09/05/2012 01:19

It's not that bad, at least they are not killing babies to make the pills, they where getting aborted at the clinics anyway and that fact has rather angered me because this story is pure sensationalism for the papers. They are all falling over themselves to be horrified by it, the same papers that are not drawing attention too and campaigning to stop the killing of children for witch craft practices that go on in some parts of the world.

HerRoyalNotness · 09/05/2012 02:15

Whichever way you look at it, it's sick, sadly it doesn't surprise me that this kind of revolting thing happens

gingerchick · 09/05/2012 02:39

Didn't need to know that but thanks! [Biscuit]

gingerchick · 09/05/2012 02:40

Obv meantBiscuit

ripsishere · 10/05/2012 14:03

Why the Biscuit and who was it aimed at?
In Thailand, aborted or miscarried babies are used in black magic.

gingerchick · 10/05/2012 15:56

Because

I really don't see the point in sharing this information caapart from to shock. I dont want to read that and it is insensitive and unnecessary IMo

ExitPursuedByABear · 10/05/2012 16:00

But it has been in all the papers.

I started a thread the other day but only put exclamation marks in the title - but for some reason every time I try and click on it my machine locks up.

I was listening to R4 this morning about how China is buying up so many of our traditional industries. China really is the next big super power. Maybe it is their turn for world domination but I find it a bit scary. No doubt someone will be along to flame me.

GobblersKnob · 10/05/2012 16:04

Soylent green people, soylent green. And it all seemed so implausable. Scary.

thisisyesterday · 10/05/2012 16:10

gingerchick... the title of the thread gave it away didn't it. you didn't have to read it

gingerchick · 10/05/2012 16:11

I don't read the papers for this exact reason. It's insensitive considering how many mns have had
miscarriages I am one of them

gingerchick · 10/05/2012 16:13

That's my point it was purposefully inflammatory even in title

MarvellousYou · 10/05/2012 16:14

I want to barf! The world is sick, just because a foetus has been aborted doesn't mean it can be crushed into pills to help stamina! Hmm WTF is the world coming to?

ripsishere · 10/05/2012 16:36

gingerchick, I don't want to make this into a competition but I've had 11 MCs.

gingerchick · 10/05/2012 16:38

Well then you should be more upset about this thread then I am very sorry that You have had 11 I wasn't tmaking a competition out of it simply explaining why I was distressed by the thread:(

ripsishere · 10/05/2012 16:44

I can't be uspet, it was years ago.
TBH, I think you are being a little silly, the nature of the thread was clearly written in the title.

gingerchick · 10/05/2012 16:51

Well I'm sorry for being sensitive about my recent miscarriage and it was the title I was talking about particularly it isn't that hard to right something along the lines of contains possibly upsetting info but obviously I am just being silly!

bibbitybobbitybunny · 10/05/2012 16:54

I think this thread title is extremely insensitive, vile and horrible and I have never had a miscarriage.

Was also disgusted with the way it was reported on the Mail Online front page.

gingerchick · 10/05/2012 16:58

Thank you bibbity not just me being 'silly' then

McPhee · 10/05/2012 17:00

This is sick and insensitive.

McPhee · 10/05/2012 17:02

Very sorry but I've felt the need to flag this title to MNHQ

gingerchick · 10/05/2012 17:04

Thank you McPhee I was genuinely upset by this was not just trying to be difficult

Ryoko · 10/05/2012 17:32

Personally I don't find it as shocking as children being kidnapped and murdered by witch doctors that happens all the time and hardly gets a mention but I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to know this. It's something that is real and happening people need to be aware of how foul the world is, if people bury their heads in the sand at hearing every little thing that may upset them nothing will ever change in the world.

As for the comment about China being a power house, why is that? because we buy what they make if you don't like what they do boycott the goods.

Methe · 10/05/2012 17:36

I have already reported it to MNHQ. They said that while they thought it was in bad taste they were not going to remove it.

I rarely report anything and am all for freedom of speech but posting a thread with a title like that on here is extraordinarily inconsiderate and insensitive.

I've had 4 miscarriages and a 17 week loss last month, I don't need to read titles like that in active conversations.

MarvellousYou · 10/05/2012 17:40

Sometimes I want to go on strike, just because the world can be such an evil place. Haven't clicked on the link, I agree, bad taste. It has upset others on here because it is upsetting. I think it should be discussed but maybe a warning about it being a sensitive issue in the title/heading? Confused
