Olympic tickets for babies

I posted this in chat... but think I may have more joy here...? Well, fingers crossed!

There was a thread in January about the Olympic ticketing policy excluding babes in arms unless they had their own tickets. Lord Coe went on record on 27 January stating that they would review the policy, however I can't find anything on the Olympic website regarding this revision. I did email the Olympic help address, however I've had no reply. Does anyone know what the story is? Has the policy changed?

Why would people WANT to take babies to the Olympics?

If I can't bring her, I can't go. I'll be gutted.

We were told to call back when more tix went on sale in late April, which doesn't seem to have happened. We have 2 events so guess DP and I will each have to miss one to look after the baby.

I posted the below on the main thread too See "Update from LOCOG". It seems as if it will cover most parents unless you're going to certain venues...

"Still not gonna be a goer for us :(

We have a 5 month old son who we didn't know about at when we applied for tickets to the North Greenwich Arena?14 months ago!!! I have repeatedly called Ticketmaster and complained to them and also in writing, but all I get is the same inane response about "All babies need tickets to this event, We'd be happy to sell you a ticket for your baby.....except there aren't any available".

So either we have to forfeit our tickets or only one of us goes with our son. I have even used the phrase active discrimination against breast feeding mothers, but they seem somewhat unmoved.

Disappointed it wasn't a policy LOCOG rolled out across all venues. Any advice anyone, or are others in this same predicament?"
