Taylah Douglas is the young lady in question. I saw her on Breakfast this morning and thought she was very lucky to work it out and get out by herself. A report will be on Newsnight tonight.

Some unsettling statistics:-

Over 300 women turned away from refuges due to lack of space. Every day.

30 suicide attempts by abused women. Every day.

Approximately 1 million women are subjected to abuse in the UK every year.

As someone who has two teenage daughters (one of whom I've helped to get out of an abusive relationship) I'm really concerned about the future.
