Lookee here and enjoy, as I did, the first name of the successful candidate.
I think we've heard rather too much about LD willies lately, but I am very pleased for them really
Things can only get better for the Lib Dems

Gloating, are we, Marina? Mr Hughes seems to be holding up rather well - did you hear him on the Today prog today? Whose your fave candidate atm, then?

Marina · 10/02/2006 12:28

Chris Huhne for me I think. I have an innate distrust of Simon Hughes dating back to Tatchellgate, and yes I know PT has publicly "forgiven" him for that campaign!
I liked some of Naughty Mark's policies actually

Even if one were not a LD supporter, I think it is good for the electoral health of the country to have three "mainstream" parties to choose from

Well, Huhne seems to be storming away for a newcomer, doesn't he? Would probably do the LibDems good to have a fresh face. I just love the Lib Dems' current ability to give me watchable news stories while I sweat at the gym - election victories are fine as well as scandals as far as I'm concerned. I think this is an interesting time in British politics.

To lower the tone: what do CK and MO have in common? They both like to get shit faced.

RedZuleika · 10/02/2006 12:47

Tatchellgate?? Could someone remind me?

Thanks.

Cristina7 · 10/02/2006 12:50

SH campaigned in the same area and used the slogan "Choose the straight option" or something similar.

RedZuleika · 10/02/2006 12:54

Riiiight. Hmmm. I don't believe that an individual's sexuality is a matter of public interest... unless they've used it publicly and misled the electorate. Which this would seem to be.

So I still don't know who to vote for (wails pathetically).
