Chimera OR The incredible disappearing twin

I found this interesting article on the SMH about twins. I was just talking to a mum today and she was telling me that she lost one twin during the pregnancy and then this - insert spooky music here.

I had heard the word chimera, but thought it was just some sci fi word.

Ewwww, gross. Don't fancy being the twin munched by the other one in utero! Very interesting indeed, I didn't know about Chimeras.
