My only surprise is that the child didn't recognise more of them.

I know 2yos who can identify a camera as "Barbie" and I know a child who's first word was Argos. His favourite thing as a tot was the Argos catalogue which he would use like a picture book. He would shout it out whenever an Argos lorry passed, so unless he could read at 18mths....

Not scary at all imo.

Logos are just signifiers. Kids can't walk around with their eyes closed.
