Here Apologies for the daily fail link.

I assume the mitigating circumstances explain the light sentence but I find it really sad and shocking that the dd is taking responsibility for her mother's actions. What is odd is the mother offered no explanation for her whereabouts. I'd have thought if she wanted time out she could have left her child with the GPs (who are now caring for the child). I guess there is a lot more to this story but still it makes for very sad reading.

I'd be interested to know the truth as what is printed there will bear VERY little relation to it.

Well there must be reasons why the judge gave a custodial sentence. I agree that there is a lot more to this story than printed here.

Thats a really sad story and I hope the little girl has a happier existance.

Such a senario could have so easily ended in tragety.

I think the judge has given the right sentence.

Sounds like the girl was left routinely overnight so mum could work, what other 6th old would wake up and get dressed alone?

All sounds odd....the no explanation thing especially, I wonder where on eArhh the mother was

circumstances must be serious for the judge to release her name.
