The Wiggles! big news, (i'm so happy!)

So, wiggles fans, and parents of wiggles fans. The news we've all been waiting for....
After 5 years, Sam Moran is leaving and after a period of illness, Greg Page is returning to the group! Yay!

Which channel can you get the wiggles on in the UK. Dd loved it when we were in the states!

Not sure tbh, we've just got basic virgin package, but ds has got their dvd's and plays on their website.

We are virgin too.... I'm off to hunt amazon! It guarantees 20 min of silence!

Bran, I thought it was because he is better now. I do feel for Sam though, but don't think he was ever really accepted as a proper wiggle.

Sams voice was never as good - even the other wiggles (and I think Sam)admitted that.
I will stop myself before I launch into has there been a classic wiggles song written in the Sam era as it indicates far too much time watching and listening to them.

Other rumour from other aussies on FB is that Sam actually wanted to leave. Who knows?

Surely Greg's investment is that he's one of the original Wiggles with a songwriting credit on all their big hits and features in most of their DVD back catalogue and TV repeats? The royalties alone must bring in a very tidy sum each year.

Aww, I like Greg too. Aren't The Wiggles ace? My DCs are too old now but I might have to just watch on my own.

Shipscat, I think that Greg is much nicer to look at. Well, my ds was over the moon with the news anyway when I told him this morning and skipped to school, eager to tell his fellow wiggle fan chums.

Shipscat is that the one with the classics pirate song and Henry's underwater band.

Love Greg and LOVE sexy Sam so don't really know how I feel about this.

As for who has the better voice out of Sam and Greg.. Greg has a more 'wiggles' style voice that i admit blends better with the other wiggles but Sam's voice is far far better technically, he's had classical training and if anyone has heard his solo album... WOW!!!

I'm happy for Greg but so sad for Sam.

I hate the wiggles. I was hoping for 'they have been axed' or something.

It has just taken ALL my effort not to swear in this post. I dislike them THAT much.

After the initial excitement, I feel a bit deflated now, poor Sam :( on his dd's birthday too.
They should have Greg back but still keep Sam.

I didn't used to 'get them' as thought they were odd but DC no 5 really really took to them and we were converts! We have loads of DVDs and have been to shows. I like Sam and Greg about equally. So i am not sure what to think. I do hope Sam wasn't treated badly though. It would be good if he could go on to do a kids show or presenting etc.
