K and W have just been in Denmark packing aid boxes with the Danish Royals. Do you think this sort of thing raises the profile of Unicef and will help encourage people to donate more for the East African famine relief? Or is it a stunt and a waste of money/resources?

Did Unicef pay for them to go to Denmark?

ninedragons · 03/11/2011 05:16

PR stunt.

If he persuaded his granny to sit down and write a cheque for a billion pounds to UNICEF, that would be genuinely impressive.

CogitoErgoSometimes · 03/11/2011 07:17

Yes it raises the profile. It's been in the news and we're talking about it. QED...

They will have been invited by UNICEF, whose "publicity stunt" this was.

They had a wide range of celebrities at this event - presumably to maximise the potential audiences worldwide. Roger Moore was interviewed at length, and spoke very well about the huge, huge problems there.

I know MN can give a rough ride to this who point out how desperately bad conditions are elsewhere on the globe.

But please spare a though for the work UNICEF does, and the conditions that those it seeks to help are enduring.

I had no idea UNICEF packed aid boxes..

I do now.

but what did she wear?

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 04/11/2011 09:24

A burgandy LK Bennett coat dress with a belt that showed off her 22 inch waist.

Oh, you were joking, uniCorny Blush

saffronwblue · 04/11/2011 09:32

I think her waist is 18 inches or less...

No, it can't be that small. Maybe in a corset.

Anyway, shh before we get booted over to Sleb Twaddle!
