Should this teacher have been jailed

This woman bombarded a 14 year old pupil with sexually explicit texts "leaving no no doubt of what she would like to do or what she wanted him to do to her". How can it be right that she remains at large, albeit banned from working with children for life? I am sure that if she was a man she would be behind bars now.

Her excuse was that she was upset after her affair with another man had ended, she had a fiance as well. It sounds like she has a problem.

Does appear to be an awful lot of leniency given to teachers sexually abusing children in their care.

YANBU.It would be bad enough for any woman to do this, but when she was in a position of trust-much much worse.
