Just to give you an example how bad this could be , my house is around 60 miles from the next nearest hosp.

this is the exact same thing we're having right now here - they've already shut half our gyno ward down - worst part is it's a single track road to the next town 30 miles away - in the summer it's chocca with tourist traffic and in winter it's normally closed ccos of the snow and bad weather. absolutly hopeless, what good's an A&E dept in a hosp which takes 30 mins to get there?? (and that's not waiting for an ambalance)

They were reducing 4 years ago when I had dd2 the day I left they had ran out of maternity beds!

Also it doesn't mention that tghe main a -road from here to Lancaster is well known for tragic accidents ,road blockages(10 mile detours) and goes through a farm yard
