aaww. Glad she's back.

I've missed her so much! Can't wait to hear her take on motherhood.

You'll be disappointed. Inevitably she's had a horrible birth, like all alpha female journalists, and wants to get down with the mums by bleating about it (albeit in a vaguely funny way) and dissing Tory boy's parenting skills. Yawn.

But why is there less text and more space for a picture of LM - I know what she looks like

I loved Lucy Mangan's pieces when she first appeared on the scene, but all the 'my mildly dysfunctional family' shtick feels terribly tired and lazy these days. And is there really anything new to say about having a baby?

Still, there is clearly something to her, and Zoe Williams (after a couple of years writing banal baby columns) is now at the top of her game, so let's hope LM follows her example.

I always thought LM was super funny. I hope she's kept her sense of humour.
