Good news for the acquitted and what we now know to be the sole murderer continues his sentence.

Four years of her life spent in jail though, outrageous.

It's a fascinating and tragic story all round. The original case appeared to hinge largely on the story woven by the prosecution about the DNA evidence. Once the DNA evidence was shown to be shaky the whole story fell apart. I think Knox and Sollecito were badly advised at the outset, incredibly naive, and I don't think they helped their own case. It's also terrible for the Kercher family to have had to relive the events again four years on, but I suppose they have to take comfort that the real killer has been behind bars all the time this macabre sideshow has been taking place.

It's also outrageous that Rudy Guede had his sentence reduced to 16 years! - this whole case has been a monumental cock up. My heart goes out to Meredith's family.

The poor Kercher family, my heart goes out to them.
