Knox and Sollecito win appeals

Breaking news on the BBC website - Knox and Sollecito win their appeals against their convictions for the murder of Meredith Kercher. The prosecution is appealing.

I think it's the right result. Plenty of reasonable doubt.

This is confusing, my BBC website is not showing anything, it says the verdict is being delivered but not what it is yet and the Daily Mail says they've been found guilty (see other thread)

I feel very sorry for all concerned in this case as there is so much doubt but especially for the poor family who lost their daughter and now have to face this nightmare.

yes, they got a not guilty verdict. the only new evidence was that a theorist said it was possible the DNA was not 100% reliable. I wonder how people were convicted before DNA analysis. Now she will no doubt become a millionaire. As it has been ruled the DNA and polic einvestigation was not good enough, it is highly likely Guede will be released, and other cases involving the original DNA experts will be reviewd including that of the killer of Heather Barnett. The prosecution will appeal but it is unlikely Knox will be extradited back to Italy.

Got it now, the verdicts have been overturned.

They have won. It seems like they were found guilty for accusing the other guy though.

I feel sorry for the other family too but after having read a lot about how the police etc worked over there I don't think they could have justified keeping her in prison. Whether she is innocent or not I can of course not say

I think the supreme court will quash this result, and they will get a guilty verdict eventually. But they will wait until Knox is back in America.

The italian crowds really arent happy outside the court.

Can she go home though while they are waiting for it to go to the Supreme Court?

Eyes are on Knox how she behaves in the future.
