EU Financial Tax Proposed

So my leftie friends, what do you make of the latest proposals from the EU? Your dream come true or a naive mistake?

I tell you what it would mean for banking..... "Welcome to Shanghai!!!!" :)

I think there is absolutely zero chance of this actually being passed into law.

I think banks would just move their bases to non-EU countries like Switzerland and then the EU would get no tax from them whatsoever.
