I'd be devastated if this happened to me!

I'm just bitter that people have £32000 to spend on a car

HRHQoQ · 30/11/2005 18:38

(well that aside still gutting - I'd be upset if it happened to our little ford fiesta LOL)

Good point - I'd be sooo lost if our car got squished (and the tears over ponies dying would be terrible too)

flamesparrow · 30/11/2005 18:39

Ponies are my little ponies that DD plays with in the car...

Maybe the valeter had been watching Ferris Bueller's Day Off?

Gem754 · 30/11/2005 20:43

I don't know about being gutted. I'd be really pee'd off to be fair. Totaled instead of washed - I'd have steam pooring out of my ears.

munz · 30/11/2005 20:46

i'd be gutted at the £32 K on a car! lol - would get rid of all my worries and more! lol

I know a joke about this.... entitled "Londoners" (sorry, i didnt make it up)

A bloke buys a new porshe,
thrilled with it, he takes it to his work to show it off to his colleagues.
As he opens the car door a ten ton lorry drives passed and rips the door off.
Furious the guy jumps out of his car and begins ranting and raving at the lorry, while dialing the police on his fancy mobile.
After a few moments the police arrive and a northern copper gets out of the police car and approaches the man.
The man furiously rants at the copper, and the copper just shakes his head and says to the man "you Londoners are so materialistic, have you not noticed that the lorry has ripped off your arm?"

The man looks down at his bleading stump and shouts "Fucking hell....my fucking Rolex is gone".

"The car was being spruced up for a buyer, but the sale had now fallen through, he said."

I saw that about him spending £30,000 doing it up but assumed it must be a mis-print. £3000 maybe? After all, why would he do all that and after only a year, sell it for half of what he'd spent? Doesn't make sense.

I'm probably wrong though, it has been known
