Could the new revelations be about hacking at the time of the death of Diana?

What if they hacked into her friends/family phones at that time? Is it possible? We know the revelations are big, we know those concerned considered themselves (justifiably) above the law.Diana herself had a fair suspicion she was being listened to/hacked (squigygate) She regularly changed her phone....did her friends? They later hacked her boys phones.
Could this be part of the revelations that Brooks warned about?It has to be something in this league.

Given that phone hacking appears to have been applied to anyone that has been in the news for about the last 10 years, and given that the NOTW Royal Correspondent already went to prison for it, it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume that other members of the royal family were targeted. Fundamentally, hacking Diana would be no worse than hacking anyone else.

My belief is that the revelations Brooks referenced will be far more serious. Collusion, corruption, blackmail, fraud, entrapment ... something along those lines rather than simply an extension of what has gone before.

I'm fully expecting the next revelations to be about Princess Diana. I agree with Cogito that this is no worse than anything else they've done on the hacking front but it's still very distasteful (for want of a better word).

I also agree that this is likely to be the tip of the iceberg. I'm fairly certain that we'll never know the full extent also.

I assume that Diana and family & friends phones were hacked.

Tho' I think Brooks's warning is of something MUCH worse. Or just a 'wind up'.
