Tax Man implications in this NOTW affair

1. The police who got thedosh/and or their relatives.......did they pay tax?

1. What sort of bookeeping is the NOTW keeping that it can loose this sort of dosh in its receipts? Surely they need their books looked at big time. I wonder who else they paid off?

If a police officer has taken an illegal bung they're hardly going to declare it to HMRC. And I'm sure the newspaper had a sizeable budget for paying their interview subjects and another sources of information which, of course, is not necessarily illegal. Newspapers are not normally forced to reveal their sources.
