apparently by deleting Milly's messages her family still had some hope that she might still be alive

pannus just wanted to say i hope you get redeployed rather than lose your job (think it was you saying you were being asked to relocate?)

noddyholder · 13/07/2011 12:15

I think the piers morgan story may be lame in terms of content but it is good in that it shows everyone was involved and the whole lot of them need dealing with.PM slagged off the hackers and now has been proved a hypocrite I hope they turf him out of the US

teej · 13/07/2011 12:16

redeployed sounds very dull and mechanical - sorry - but hope you know what i mean!

teej · 13/07/2011 12:17

but noddy if they turf him out of the US he'll come back here Shock

OhYouBadBadCrookshanks · 13/07/2011 12:18

whsmiths was offering a free copy of the Times to customers this morning. I was mentally preparing how I would say 'no thank you, its part of the murdoch empire' but she didnt offer me one. boo hoo. (perhaps she was a secret mind reader or perhaps I don't look like someone who would take the Times)

noddyholder · 13/07/2011 12:18

Yes teej you have a point there! But he is so smug and superior I hope he gets his comeuppance. I can't help but feel he had somethings on some of his interviewees as so many slebs seem to hate him yet went on his sad little show!

teej · 13/07/2011 12:18

go Tom Watson - now raising hacking of 9/11 victims .

BornSicky · 13/07/2011 12:18

ah look! the right wing think they've got something to gloat about! i'd be keeping an eye on mr cameron's diary, if i were you nogreythatmatters.

pure speculation, unlike all the rest of the material which will be evidence.

and again misdirection. can we get back to the real story?

teej · 13/07/2011 12:20

crookshanks i turned down a free copy of the Times last week - the poor woman in WHSmith was v confused by someone in this neck of the woods turning down a freebie!

OhYouBadBadCrookshanks · 13/07/2011 12:25

"I just don't believe I just heard David Cam our Prime Minister won't attend the debate in HofCommons today and will vote "if his diary allows it""
Pannus, what a total coward he is Angry to scared to show his own colours.

teej · 13/07/2011 12:27

nogrey a lot of us would query GB and SB's interactions with NI/SB - but it's the same for all of them (politicos and police). nothing excuses how they were "outed" wrt FB's medical condition.

imho, i think you cannot legislate for whether or not people are friends across different professions. i actually don't mind if politicos, police and hacks go for a beer together. i do mind if those relationships have a detrimental impact on our country, though. if they are not grown up enough to act responsibly and maintain the chinese walls between who they know and what they do then frankly they don't deserve to be in positions of power and authority.

teej · 13/07/2011 12:28

if DC does not attend the debate and vote then he has made a really bad misjudgement in terms of the mood of the nation. poor work from a supposed ex-PR.

teej · 13/07/2011 12:28

Senior lawyer at NI walking out the door - oh interesting.

teej · 13/07/2011 12:32

noddy i think everyone thinks PM is a smug git, including his guests!

jenny60 · 13/07/2011 12:37

Right, what is everyone's verdict on DC? I think he's handled it badly and it wil come back to bite him on the bum. Don't suppose anyone has a more serious and detailed assessment than that?

BornSicky · 13/07/2011 12:39

the judicial review outline that cameron has announced sounds rather thorough.

looks like cameron's pipping milliband on the bskyb takeover subject too...actually nah, he's just saying it'll be competition commission. thought it was too good to be true!

BornSicky · 13/07/2011 12:40

jenny i think there's every chance cameron is up to his neck in it, but waiting to see how it all shakes down.

he cannot ignore it now.

noddyholder · 13/07/2011 12:44

I think cameron must be in it up to his neck because if he wasn't and had seen any opportunity to take the moral high ground he would have

BornSicky · 13/07/2011 12:46

agreed noddy it's very unlike him to crow. milliband is actually looking and sounding like a leader...

clegg is still the man that wasn't there.

BornSicky · 13/07/2011 12:46

oops - not to crow

AitchTwoOh · 13/07/2011 12:47

back again... what's happening? we should get a new thread, this thing is a bugger to load on mobiles.

ed's talking. he does look funny. he really needs to learn that he has a good side and a gonk side, imo.

BornSicky · 13/07/2011 12:49

well done ed! asked cameron to present a list of all the meetings he's had with NI and the press and said he'll do the same!

BornSicky · 13/07/2011 12:52

bwah ha ha ha! cameron not keen to give up his diary meetings with NI!

noddyholder · 13/07/2011 12:52

If Cameron presents the list I feel his number will be up!

BornSicky · 13/07/2011 12:54

oh ben bradshaw! was a great culture secretary. shame he voted for the iraq war. never forgive him that!

he just slammed cameron for ridiculing the competition commission referral for bskyb previously.
