chipstick What's not iffy is that the Sun published a "scoop" on the medical condition of Brown's child which is blatantly not in the public interest and was wholly reprehensible. That the paper has now found someone to claim they gave the details and that they weren't achieved illegally is just more guff.
Brown was pressurised and demonised by this mob for a long time and, as another person pointed out, when he was at his most vulnerable after receiving the diagnosis of his child's severe medical condition. Brown has always been awful public speaking or communicating and he didn't make much of a PM, because he totally lacked charisma.
But, to use Brown's other failings to argue away the bottom line of the Sun's awful churnalism is tabloid-esque sleight of hand. And these kinds of misdirection are exactly the reason why so many people have had enough of the tabloid media.
