apparently by deleting Milly's messages her family still had some hope that she might still be alive

yes that's him. And good for him too. Eloquent and with personal experience of this sort of thing.

ThisIsANiceCage · 07/07/2011 10:50

Yep, that Hugh Grant. For whom I am suddenly acquiring some respect.

BornSicky · 07/07/2011 10:51

paul mcmullen is milking this for all he can get. he sounds like a nasty, unapologetic hack at every turn.

smells like notw have put him out as the media front to crucify Coulson.

utterly loathesome

ThisIsANiceCage · 07/07/2011 10:51

Guy on This Morning in beige suit is Paul McMullan.

He is loathsome isn't he.

MmeLindor. · 07/07/2011 10:54

Sleazy little man, but shocking revelations.

He did implicate others, not just Coulson though.

BornSicky · 07/07/2011 10:56

does he only own that one beige suit?

he's like some 1940s private dick from a Raymond Chandler novel....

...usually found murdered after "singing like a canary" or prying once too often.

MmeLindor. · 07/07/2011 10:58

Sure that the This Morning interview will be online somewhere soon.

ThisIsANiceCage · 07/07/2011 11:01

Thanks for the heads-up on that, MmeLindor.

TheRhubarb · 07/07/2011 11:09

I did a blog post on Rupert Murdoch, Evil Villain or Misunderstood Hero and the connections and threads that link him with every PM since Thatcher are shocking.

HedleyLamarr · 07/07/2011 11:12

This story just keeps getting worse by the hour. How can Murdoch be allowed to buy Sky now?

Rollergirl1 · 07/07/2011 11:13

Crapola: RB and Ross Kemp lived behind us in Battersea when that happened. Popbitch started the goss about it being a man she found him with years ago but the official line is that it was another woman.

ThisIsANiceCage · 07/07/2011 11:15

Yep, McMullan fingered Rebekah Brooks on Newsnight on Tuesday. So to speak.

GetOrfMoiLand · 07/07/2011 11:43

"Apparently RW/RB found her sleb boyf in bed with a bloke and stabbed him.....he then dropped charges for fear of homosexuality coming out."

thefirstMrsDeVere · 07/07/2011 11:47

This journo guy's eye contact is very poor.

His body language speaks volumes.

Pannus · 07/07/2011 11:54

Watching BBC News - now over 100,000 people have e mailed to object to the BskyB takeover by Newscorp. Send any message you like (they have to read them all and it slows the process up). This has prompted the house of Lords to try and halt the takeover.

To: [email protected]

or just go to: www.avaaz.org/en/stop_rupert_murdoch_3/

Subject: Bskyb - Newscorp consultation

Dear Jeremy Hunt

I along with every single adult I have spoken to today is totally opposed to
you allowing the Newscorp takover of Bskyb.

Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation already owns 40% of British newspapers and 40% of BSkyB, the UK?s largest commercial broadcaster. In the US, Australia and elsewhere this degree of media dominance would not be allowed. News Corporation has admitted responsibility for hacking the phones of
politicians and celebrities
, and now stands accused of tampering with the
phones of Milly Dowler's parents, Sara Payne, and now horrifically relatives of dead relatives from 7/7 and the armed forces. But your government wants to give Murdoch power over half of our media, allowing him to then squeeze out his
rivals one by one. This takeover is unconstitutional and your government should protect the British people and disallow it.

flippinada · 07/07/2011 12:04

Never thought I'd say this either but good on Hugh Grant.

Nancy66 -he may be all of those things but hey, he didn't hack a murdered child's phone, did he?

Camerondiazepam · 07/07/2011 12:07

nancy66 that is exactly the sort of response that has stopped MPs etc standing up to NI. Who among us has led a totally blameless life? Because if you're in the public eye, and you haven't, god help you taking on the tabloids.

AwesomePan · 07/07/2011 12:08

Redemption is a wonderful thing, and open to everyone.

I can see it may be trickier for RW/RM etc.

GrimmaTheNome · 07/07/2011 12:09

Thanks Pannus, just sent a short mail. Maybe you could start a thread specificially to encourage others to do so?

flippinada · 07/07/2011 12:13

Have also emailed Pannus - thank you for the link.

Please do start a thread as Grimma suggests.

flippinada · 07/07/2011 12:17

Exactly cameron - this is NOT a 'giltterati' campaign. EVERYONE is talking about this.

What is abundantly clear is that it's not 'just' about celebs and any one of us could have our privacy invaded and picked over by tabloid hacks in this hideous fashion - if we are unlucky enough to become newsworthy due to tragic circumstance.

catinthehat2 · 07/07/2011 12:20

David Cameron is in the sewer because of his News International friends , the Telegraph gives it both barrels Shock

AwesomePan · 07/07/2011 12:20

Just emailed too regarding the out come of enquiries and the fit and proper test.
