we see about the clothes being sold by some shops to be unsuitable for children
so if parents dont buy it for there children then that should be what they must do or not do

i have 3 girls ages 6 8 and 10 and i buy there clothes for them and so other parents should be able to do the same

I get the point entirely because I've been making the same one myself. Leeloo is saying that she only buys what she considers suitable clothes for her DDs... she's making the commonsense decision about what is decent and what is unacceptable, and buying accordingly. If everyone did the same thing there would be no market for the trashy/sexualised stuff that seems to get everyone so aerated and demanding bans. The craze/fashion would fizzle out.

As parents, we're making decisions all the time on behalf of our children... what to wear, what to eat, how to keep them safe, what activities they do. Expecting governments to ban things according to what we think is acceptable/unacceptable is unrealistic.

The point is that retailers only sell what people buy!
That's why this mumsnet campaign about sexy clothes for children is so stupid! It is the parents who are choosing buying them!!
